As a user of Event1001 you are looking for best ideas and city tips for your daytrip, convention, special events or a business trip in Bruges. Just have a look on this Where to go in Bruges page of Event1001 and maybe you will find new tips when you visit Bruges, Belgium.

Tip 1: Historic Centre of Bruges: it has been designated a Unesco World Heritage with breathtaking buildings, beautiful squares, churches, bell towers and of course a lot of chocolatiers.

Tip 2: Bruges Ballooning: hot air balloon flights over the center of Bruges and its wonderful surounding castles and fields. With champagne and hotel pick-up included.

Tip 3: De halve maan Brewery: a tour including a visit to the top of the building where you have a unique view over the city. You can taste a brewery beer at the end in the bar.

Tip 4: Basilica of the Holy Blood: Originally built in the 12th century as the chapel of the residence of the Count of Flanders, the church houses a venerated relic of the Holy Blood allegedly collected by Joseph of Arimathea and brought from the Holy Land.

Tip 5: The Markt: a square in the centre of the town surrounded by hundreds of little gift shops and tourist nooks. Highlight is the Tin Tin shop. A lot of restaurants you find on the square as well.

Tip 6: Belfry and Market halls: These 13th century medieval buildings from which the bells toll were once an indoor market place. You have a great view from above and if you are up there and the largest bell in the world rings it is amazing.

Tip 7: Folklore Museum: learn about the Bruges of the 17th century, which features almshouses, a cobbler's, barrel an hat makers workshop.

Tip 8: Groeninge Museum: home of the Flemish Primitives from the 15th century, with works of Jan van Eyck, Rogier van der Weyden, Gerard David, Hugo van der Goes, Petrus Christus and Hieronymous Bosch.
