Tip 1: Trakai Island Castle: located on a small island, once the summer residence of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania. It has an interesting museum and is a popular location for weddings, picnics, banquets and concerts as well as conferences, receptions and incentives. Tip 7: Literatai Street: The poet Adam Mickiewicz lived at the beginning of this street and in 2008 a group of artists had an idea to revive the street and to decorate it with artworks related with the litterateurs. A wall was solemnly opened in the street where the painters and other field artists created plates or small objects made of metal, wood, glass in the honor of the litterateurs.
Tip 8: Rasos Cemetery is the oldest in the city of Vilnius, founded in 1801. It is separated into two parts, the old and the new cemeteries, by Sukileliai Street and situated on Ribiskes hills. Famous people are buried here; J. Basanavicius, P. Vileisis, M.K. Ciurlionis and the heart of J. Pilsudski was buried here. The cemetery is also the rest place of his mother.
